How to Find Us - Outdoor Shooting Grounds - Check out the area map

• Coming from the Motorway.
• Note, for map readers, the OS Grid Reference is SJ 298878
• Leave the M53 at junction 3.
• Follow signs for Birkenhead on A552 "Woodchurch Rd".
• Follow this road past the supermarkets until you arrive at a crossroads. There is a pub,"Halfway House", on the right hand corner and a builders yard on the left.
• Turn left here and stay on this road. You will come to a set of traffic lights, go straight over. Turn left at the third turn after the lights. Note this is a gravel driveway and all three roads are quite small and easy to miss.
• This is the "Mc Allester Field" which is Birkenhead Boys School playing field (Click here for a picture).
• We shoot on the bottom field (Click here for a picture). Sunday shoot times can vary, but sighters are usually at 14:30 hrs so it is advisable to arrive 30 minutes before hand to help setup the targets and your equipment.
  
  Local Visitors
  Local visitors can find us by making their way towards the "Chetwynd" T.A. centre, or Caernarfon Pub.
  Both of which are just a short distance from the field. The entrance to the field is off Talbot Rd.

• Leave the M53 at junction 3.
• Follow signs for Birkenhead on A552 "Woodchurch Rd".
• Follow this road past the supermarkets until you arrive at a crossroads. There is a pub,"Halfway House", on the right hand corner and a builders yard on the left.
• Turn left here and stay on this road. You will come to a set of traffic lights, go straight over.
• The road then bears right. Just after the bend is Birkenhead Boys School. Turn right into the school (Click here for a picture or if that gate is locked use the other entrance) and park your car. Follow the path round to the rear of the main building. This is the playground, the Sports Hall is a new building just behind the playground (Click here for a picture and another here).
  
  Shooting times are Sunday, 14:30 to 17:00. Sighters are at 14:30 so it is advisable to arrive 30 minutes before hand to help setup the targets and your equipment.
  
  Local Visitors
  Local visitors can find us by making their way towards the "Chetwynd" T.A. centre, or Caernarfon Pub.
  Birkenhead Boys School is just after Chetwynd, (coming from the pub!), on the right hand side.

• From M53 Junction 5 head towards Birkenhead on the A41 you will pass a speed camera in the central reservation when you get to the 1st set of traffic lights turn Left.
• At the mini roundabout turn left.
• There is a car park on the Left hand side, take the 1st left into Crosthwaite Avenue, the hall is situated on the Right Hand side.
• Parking is available at the hall or at the car park mentioned in the directions, please try to avoid parking on the road although it is possible if the site is full.
